Right to erasure (Article 17) - The data subject has the possibility to request the erasure of their data held by the controller when, for example, consent for processing is revoked or when the purpose of processing has been achieved or when it is unlawful. Obviously, it will not always be possible to comply with the request for erasure. This occurs, for example, when the data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or is necessary for the defense of a right in legal proceedings. Right to object (Article 21) - The possibility to object to processing must be guaranteed when the legal basis is legitimate interest or the performance of a task carried out in the public interest. This right also has its limits as there may be cases where the legitimate interests of the controller prevail over those of the data subject; it will be crucial to strike the right balance, or the processing is necessary for a task carried out in the public interest or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Right to data portability (Article 20) - It is provided that, in cases where processing is based on a contract or consent, upon request, the data subject shall be provided with their personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (json, xml, csv). This right applies only to data provided voluntarily and not to inferred or derived data.
