Towards Gender Equality Certification: a Commitment Taking Shape
At STI Engineering – and across the entire STI Group – gender equality and inclusion have never been mere slogans, but a natural part of the way we work and collaborate. These are deeply rooted values that, over the years, have guided our decisions, behaviours, and a corporate culture focused on the value of people.
This approach is fully aligned with the vision of our parent company, STI Corporate, a benefit corporation that integrates the promotion of diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility into its objectives. This orientation is reflected in the daily practices of all companies within the Group.
Our history confirms this long-standing commitment: over the past 10 years, STI has consistently had a significant female presence in top management and continues to promote women to leadership roles, both technical and managerial. At an international level, many of the key people contributing to the Group’s global development are women, demonstrating that female leadership is an integral part of our journey.
Today, this commitment is evolving into a structured project: we have officially launched the certification process for Gender Equality, representing the natural formalisation of practices and values that are already embedded in our corporate identity.
A journey that enhances who we are
The goal of the certification is not to change who we are, but to make transparent, measurable, and structured the actions and processes that already define how we operate. To support this journey, a dedicated internal team has been established, responsible for coordinating activities, analysing existing processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
The work involves multiple business functions across the organisation, because gender equality is a shared objective, not a box-ticking exercise. This project is designed to grow collectively and to reflect what we already experience in our everyday professional lives.
The goal: certification by the first half of 2026
We have set a clear milestone: to achieve certification by the first half of 2026. This recognition will consolidate our long-standing commitment and enable us to continue building an increasingly inclusive, fair, and representative corporate culture.
A commitment to be shared
Transparency is a fundamental part of this journey. In the coming months, we will continue to share updates and progress, because gender equality is not a goal to be achieved individually, but a value that grows when it is lived and understood by the entire community.
