Introducing the American British Academy’s Innovative Campus in Oman
Our STI Engineering team in Oman was recently part of an exciting project in Madinat Al Irfan where we assisted with MEP design and supervision consultancy services and helped built a new campus. Campus boasts a diverse range of facilities tailored to provide an exceptional learning experience for its students.
Project Overview
ABA International School's new campus comprises an array of modern buildings, including a school building, auditorium and performance art center, music rooms and recording studios, multipurpose hall, cafeteria, amphitheater, rooftop tennis court, indoor swimming pool, sports hall 1 and 2, outdoor sports yard, courtyard, and indoor and outdoor car parks.
The project was executed in two packages, with the first package encompassing the construction of the sports facilities building, a mini Olympic swimming pool, a rooftop tennis court, a natural grass soccer pitch, and various outdoor sports amenities, along with basement and open car parks. The second package involved the construction of the school building and the performance arts center (PAC) building, which houses a black box theatre, music studios, rehearsal rooms, a drama studio, cafeteria, multipurpose hall, and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 534.
State-of-the-art Amenities
The sports facilities building features two spacious sports halls that can accommodate four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, and 16 badminton courts, with ample seating for spectators. The mini Olympic swimming pool is an indoor facility with 25 meters and eight lanes. Students can also enjoy a rooftop open tennis court, a natural grass soccer pitch, and various outdoor sports such as long jump, shot put, and discus throw.
The ABA International School is fully equipped with modern technology in its laboratories and studios, enhancing students' learning experience and fostering creativity and innovation.
